Ask the I Ching

If you have a question, from the simplest and most trivial to the most important, you can consult the I Ching here for free. Our page uses the card method. There are sixty-four cards in total, each with a different hexagram and message. By clicking the "Ask" button, our site selects the appropriate card for your question.

Divine only for yourself. If asking for others, first obtain their permission.

The way you ask the question is also important. Here are some of the most basic rules:

• Before clicking the "Ask" button, focus on your question
• Adopt a posture with a straight spine and feet firmly on the ground
• You may optionally do a short meditation
• Be clear and concise about what you want to ask
• Click the button to get the I Ching card/answer
• After receiving the answer, do not ask again until circumstances change
